About
ATM Trainer is a cash machine (ATM) simulator designed to support people with cognitive disabilities as they learn to withdraw cash on their own.
The app faithfully reproduces the steps of a cash withdrawal: inserting the card, choosing the language, selecting the operation, entering the amount and the PIN, collecting the bills and the receipt. Every physical interaction is simulated (sliding the card, collecting the bills…).

How to use it
No installation required. The app runs directly in the browser, on tablet or computer. It is designed for use in support sessions, in guided practice or in free training.

What is an ATM simulator?
An ATM simulator — also called a cash machine simulator — reproduces every step of a real cash withdrawal on screen, without a real card or real money. Learners can practise safely: inserting the card, entering the PIN, choosing an amount and collecting the bills, as many times as they need.
How can I teach someone with a cognitive disability to use an ATM?
Guide the learner through each step at their own pace, repeating the same sequence until it feels familiar. A simulator removes the pressure of a real machine: no money is at stake and there is no time limit, so they can practise — first supported, then independently — before visiting an actual ATM.
Is ATM Trainer free?
Yes. ATM Trainer is completely free, with no ads and no sign-up, and it is open source under the MIT license. It runs straight in the browser on a tablet or computer, with nothing to install. Special educators, families and care settings can freely use and share it.
What device should I use?
ATM Trainer works on tablet, computer and web browser, with no installation. A tablet is the recommended device: its touch screen mirrors the real gestures used on a cash machine's screen and keypad. All you need is an internet connection to open it and start practising.

ATM Trainer brings together choices no other tool combines: a hands-on drag-and-drop chassis (card, bills, receipt), euro banknotes (€50, €20 and €10), a bilingual English-French interface, and a design built specifically for cognitive disabilities — all free and open source for special-education use.
